I loved this book, I enjoyed the story (was believable for me in a realm of magic), I grew attached to characters and the poignant picture of the circus and its followers. I really want this book to be animated, I imagined the beautiful descriptors and could only see animation doing it justice. (in the style of Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli). Overall I read it quickly not being able to stop, to see where in the world the story was going. The beautiful clock and the magic of the circus feeding on memories of my own and ones I can imagine. Scents coming to me as vividly as daydreams of the black and white circus, praying it would stop in my town. I recommend this for the average/teen reader. (older teen)
